Volunteer Roles Required!!

  • Trunk or Treat facilitator – help organize tent set up
  • Check In/ Soccer Central Tent – help with team check in, directions and other questions
  • Set Up (Friday 530-630 PM)– Help us with moving goals and preparation 10/30
  • Break Down and Clean up (2-4 PM) – Help us move goals, clean up trash, and break down tents
  • Photography – 1) taking picture of check in for contest competition 2) overall pictures of players and families having fun!
  • Field Marshall – Being around the fields, saying hello, and identifying any questions.

About:

Starting in October 2025, this event had 225 participants the first year raising close to $6,000 its first event.

2026 year is special as it falls on Halloween Saturday!


What is it: 

Ghouls and Goals is an annual Halloween themed event designed to provide fun environment of 3 v 3 competition while focusing on fundraising capital dedicated to Twin Oaks soccer families.


The games are in a 3 v 3 format closely resembling “3 v 3 Live.” Players are encouraged to have a fun name and internal them by wearing Halloween costumes.


Why we do it:

For kids to have fun playing soccer! Whatever team they play on, ECR wants to provide a fun soccer experience where kids play small-sided games, wear their favorite costumes, trunk or treat, and have a fun day playing the beautiful game. 


Fundraiser – Last year and the event’s first year raised close to $6,000 through player registration and generous extra donations that directly led to buying winter rye and needed materials allowing Emerald Coast Rush to have the best field conditions in the area.


The city contributes as partners to working with ECR in improving the fields at Twin Oaks. We as a club are responsible for the seed, fertilizer, sand, and extra materials. Our goal is to have players having the best conditions possible for training and games.


Emerald Coast Rush directly contributes to Niceville, Florida’s economy by hosting two annual tournaments, National 1 League matches, and more. Field conditions can directly affect tournaments attendance.


Format:

  • 3 v 3 format 
  • Minimum of three games
  • Some divisions will have a final, some will be round robin

  • Team Organization

    • Team roster – a minimum of 4 players, maximum of 6
    • Team level – Divisions are aimed to pair division/ groups’ competition level as close as possible
    • Team age must be within a 1-year age gap. 

  • Costumes:

    • Wearing a costume is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
    •  Costumes can match (be themed) or be individual.
    • Costumes during play cannot involve any props or protruding .
    • Costumes can include head gear and masks but cannot be worn while playing. 
    • Shin guards and cleats are required.

  • Trunk or Treat:

    • Emerald Coast Rush teams will provide a tailgate style Trunk or Treat!
    • Any non ECR teams – we would LOVE to have you set up your own tent!
    • Trunk or Treat set up – tailgate tent and table with a bowl of candy – plan for 250 pieces.
    • Running out of candy is 100% okay!
    • Packaged/ sealed candy
    • Trunk or Treat will be from 11a- 12p.
    • We ask that all set up is complete (if possible) before 9am.

  • Extra donations:

    Last year’s Ghouls and Goals had over $800 of extra donations. Thank you to the families and businesses that contributed directly to the extra assistance in improving our field quality!

  • Individual Player Sign Up

    • This year we will add the feature to allow individual sign ups and we will pair your player with a team!
    • Individual early bird fee: $25
    • After early bird special: $35

  • Volunteers and Refereeing:

    • Want or need volunteer hours?
    • Referees – We are seeking soccer knowledgeable individuals (rules are light and the games should be fun!) to referee (at least over 14 years of age).
    • Referee Volunteer - volunteer to help or for volunteer hours – 30 minute time slots, 1 hr. minimum 
    • Paid Referee $8 a game – 30-minute time slots, 1 hr. minimum
